Hi Trevor, sorry to hear that the strap is not as expected. The Hirsch Runner than you ordered will begin life quite stiff due to the materials used to make it water resistant. We recently put together a blog post which contains tips on how to soften your new watch strap. Fitting it to a different watch and wearing it for a bit would soften it. Hope this all helps.
