“We have two Newfoundlands, one was always a super fussy eater, when we discovered the cold press from Walker and Drake it was something different to test out. Both dogs live for this food, they are always so excited for feeding times and because they love the food it's much easier to introduce toppers etc. Both dogs have never missed a meal since we moved to cold press and we won't be changing :)”
“We have 3 golden retrievers of 2, 6 and 9 years old and we like to try and keep them on the same food where possible. The 6 year old has had a couple of bouts of pancreatitis and the vet recommended we look for a hypoallergenic food with less than 10% fat, of which there are not many. We tried 3 major brand foods before this and they either caused itching or wind or both (I think peas were causing the excessive wind).
This food is the first cold pressed we have used and it is going down very well. After 3 weeks use their coats have become soft and silky, the wind has reduced a lot and itchiness has stopped completely. I think that the tubular shape of the food has also helped to slow down the pace of their eating, as it's not as easy to swallow straight down and they need to chew a little more, which is a good thing.
Overall we're very happy and have just subscribed. I would love to see a higher fibre content for firmer stools, and maybe some yucca to reduce stool smells and help even more with wind, but it's still a 5 star food even without these supplements (and they can still be added separately). “We have a very fussy staffy cross that we have tried alot of different cold pressed food with over the past 2/3 years but whenever she got to about half a bag left she refused to eat ,even making herself go 2/3 days without food (just to get her point across)
That was when we noticed a cold pressed food that we had not heard of before,,walker & drake chicken and rice working dog food.We liked the look of the ingredients and the price was unbelievable,,about half the price of some of the other food she had tried in the past.
We are onto our second bag now and she is still liking the food,,that did not happen with any other dog food she had tried.
All in all,,great food,,a happy dog that now likes her food,,and happy owners that no longer have to worry about which food to try next.”
“Highly recommend! We were looking for something that met our old dog with allergies requirements and this fit the bill. He loves it and it is highly rated for nutritional values online. He’s looking healthier and poops are firm even over the transition period. We love the idea you can save money with a bulk buy option and that it’s a British brand. Seriously considering changing the rest of our pack over to it! It arrived quickly and well packaged. For a brand I hadn’t heard of before, I’ve already shared it with several other dog owners.”
