“Absolutely over the moon with our inspire fold doors. When designing our new extension these two entrance doors were the one part of the build that caused us a conundrum due to wanting to maintain an open plan living feel, whilst at the same time having the option of closing off the space when needed. Prior to ordering the customer service we received from Vufold was great, especially when it came to getting answers on various technical questions. You can immediately see and feel the quality of the doors and the joiner was very impressed with them. They’ve really finished off the space. We’ve been very impressed from start to finish. If there is one slight criticism it’s that the plastic screw caps supplied with the doors don’t match the quality of the product. However, after a quick search online we managed to find some white oak veneer caps that do the job perfectly and can also be stained the same colour of the doors. It would be good if these could have been supplied with the doors though. I must stress however it’s only a very slight negative and doesn’t detract from the quality of the doors in any way.”

We do appreciate the feedback regarding the screw cover caps and agree that the white oak caps you have sourced look good, as the doors are supplied unfinished so customers can paint, stain or varnish the doors, we opted for light oak and white coloured caps as standard. Sorry that we don't offer an obscure / frosted glass option in our Inspire range, if there is enough demand for it then it is something we would consider. We do have a frosted glass option available in our Finesse internal range, and there are also companies out there who supply pre-sized self installation films, and others who offer onsite film installation services. “Doors arrived very well packed checked all items were there.We had the oak doors which we varnished before installing ,everthing was there that we needed to fit them our only comment would be better fitting instructions. The doors look great and would buy them again the staff were very helpful with any query we had”

“First impressions are the doors are made from Oak as it refers to Oak doors constantly. But only when you look further they are not. In fact when they arrive they feel like Balsa wood and not even pine. What's worse is the fact they give you one dimension for the door frame depth and after calling to confirm this is what I was told. But guess what Every part of the door frame has a different depth!!! After preparing recesses in the walls this really messed up the whole install!! One the positive side they look nice but feel cheep! For the money they are exspensive imitations Oak doors, be aware!”

Dear Mr Bracey, We are sorry to hear that the doors that you purchased from us are not as you expected. It appears that the confusion has arisen due to a misunderstanding over the terminology of the materials. From your comments, it is apparent that you were expecting the product to be made of Solid Oak, however, as clearly stated across our website, the material used for these doors is in fact Oak Veneer. Oak Veneer is commonly used as a standard material across the bi-fold door manufacturing industry as opposed to Solid Oak. This is because Solid Oak is prone to twisting and warping, which could affect the operation of the doors. If you take another look through the website, you will see that the doors are clearly and consistently referred to as Oak Veneer. We also emailed you a product link prior to purchasing, detailing the specification and material, our sales team were also on hand to answer any questions. We are sorry that that you feel that the doors are ‘expensive imitations’, however, the Oak Veneer provided was exactly as specified in your order and not an imitation of any other material, not least Solid Oak which would not be a suitable material for the product. In terms of the difficulties you encountered with the measurements required for installing the doors, the frame dimension that we provided was the only measurement needed for creating the opening. With these doors, there is only one frame dimension that is important for the install. This door has a ‘fold flat’ design so the other elements of the frame are designed to overhang the reveal, allowing the doors to fold flat. Again, if you refer to our website, you will see that there are technical drawings available in our product downloads section, detailing all measurements should you have wanted to view all additional dimensions. We are pleased that, despite the confusion over the material and dimensions, you think the doors look nice. The Inspire doors that you selected are our best-selling internal door range and you will see that we have many positive reviews published on our website from customers who are extremely pleased with their purchase. It is disappointing that you have submitted a negative review, however we maintain that all of the information about materials and dimensions was readily available prior to purchase to ensure that you were selecting exactly the right product for your needs.
