“Excellent Bifold doors, fairly easy for a competent DIYer to install, the seal adjustments were an brilliant idea as we did need to use those at the end, very happy with the end result!”

Whilst you can get cheaper doors on the market, when you then add in expensive installation costs due lack of manufacturing detail, causing lengthier installation times - we believe the overall offer from Vufold is not comparable, and thank you once again for highlighting this. “I was on a time restraint for an extension build I was carrying out, the doors were late by a week or so, so this put us behind. Their company did ring me a couple of time to let me know. However when the doors finally arrived I needed to get them fitted asap to save us going behind. All the parts stated QC on them and were wrapped up well. When we opened the bottom internal frame it was all scratched like it had been dragged along the floor. I queried this with the company and they stated they would replace the item, however I did not have the time to wait and considering they were late sending out the original delivery I couldn’t risk being any more behind. I informed the company of this and stated that we would rectify the issue ourselves and touch it up as the builder said he could do this. This would obviously take up a small amount of time it self and the fact I am paying the builder a daily wage and the material to rectify it. I was offered £50 in compensation for a £3500 doors with damage. Which I didn’t think was suitable compensation. The doors themself are nice and they fitted in to what the measurements we had I was just let down with the damaged part.”

Dear Jodie, Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you are unhappy with the service that you received. We understand that you were on a strict time restraint, and we acknowledge that the delays with our manufacturing supply chain were not at all ideal. Your patience with the unavoidable delay was appreciated and we hope that our regular communication helped manage your programme of works. Due to the inconvenience caused by the delay in delivery we didn’t question when you reported that the frame was scratched, following installation of the door. As per the instructions stipulated at point of delivery, we always require photographic evidence of any damage while the product is still in the packaging, however, the pictures you supplied were of the doors fully installed and opening out on to a building site. In the interest of appeasing the situation, we omitted this breach of the agreement and offered an immediate replacement of the frame, regardless of how the damage had occurred. On learning of this damage, our preference was to supply you with a perfect door set, as you had paid for. Unfortunately, the urgency of the installation meant that you rejected this offer, choosing to rectify the issue yourself. We completely understand that you wouldn’t want to risk a lengthy delay waiting for a whole new door set to be manufactured and delivered, however, we did explain that a replacement of a simple frame would not incur a significant delay. Your decision to pay a contractor to repair the damage was at your own discretion, again, against our recommendation to replace with new. Had the damage been reported prior to installation, we could have replaced the frame, negating any time and money spent repairing it. We made an offer to you as a goodwill gesture to acknowledge the unavoidable delay you encountered in receiving the doors, although we are sorry that you do not feel this is sufficient. We are dismayed that you have gone through with your threat of submitting a negative review because we refused further compensation, especially as you have admitted that the doors are nice and have been supplied to the specified size. Nonetheless, we stand by our offer and hope that you are happy with your new doors. Best wishes, Vufold
