The experience at the hospital was eye-opening and thought provoking. I met a lot of friendly volunteers from different places in the world. The local staff there helpful most of the time. The food at the volunteer house was not too good, but the living environment was clean. Overall, I has a great and memorable stay.

I absolutely loved Arusha and this experience was truly life changing. The transport to and from placement was very convenient and the staff at the volunteer house made me feel at home instantly. However, I was in a newly built volunteer house that lacked some amenities such as wifi (had to use data whilst in my room-extra cost) and hot water wasn’t always available. I would highly recommend volunteering in Arusha as the city, it is truly an amazing place.

We had such an amazing time! The people were fantastic and very accommodating. We got to volunteer at a local hospital as well as a clinic where we were able to help the community by providing a free medical screening which was very rewarding. We met some of the nicest people and were able to experience the culture and have lots of adventures. I would absolutely recommend!

I volunteered at an orphanage in Arusha Tanzania. On my arrival,I have been welcomed by Local coordinator. The Coordinators were always available and in contact with us, they also arranged for us the transportation to the orphanage. I volunteered at evenrate orphanage, i have taught the kids english and maths, played with them and we also cooked for them. The kids are sweet, smart , talented and full of life4s. Each kid has different story, different personality and for sure different future. We wish for them a successful and peaceful future. In our free time, we played football with kids, we went to forest, to local restaurants and to the museum . Also, we visited Massai tribe and for sure went to Tanzanian Safari which is Inhabited by the "Big Five". The safari trip was well organized; we had an amazing specialized guide, good services and even strong internet coverage in the middle of the parks! People in Tanzania are nice, open minded and caring of each other. This experience was amazing, touching and full of culture . I learnt alot from the kids. Everything was well organized, highly recommended.

I absolutely loved my stay in Arusha. I worked as a dentist in Mt. Meru's hospital and could really help the people there. Also the volunteer house is great. Lovely people, good food and nice rooms. I would definitely go back!

Hello! im Pato from Mexico, i recently went with my friend Manuel to the 3 week summer program in Tanzania and had an amazing time, we did a little bit of everything, we went to a 3 day Safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyra) , went to Zanzibar a whole weekend (1:30 min flight from Arusha) and of course volunteer the whole week in different ways like orphanage, day care, gardening for the kids and even paint a school classroom. The best part is the excellent synergy between all volunteers and karibu's staff who always were very friendly and helpful in all ways. Thanks again and looking forward for the next adventure.
