“How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? One of the reasons why my friend and I choose Volunteering Solutions was because of their prompt responses to our queries. Though we applied just a month before our start date everything was taken care of with time to spare and the Pre Departure guide was helpful as well. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? The kids were amazing. I have never seen such well behaved and thoughtful children completely opposite form the brats back home. They were extremely warm and friendly right from the start and incredibly appreciative of every little thing we gave them. The kids spoke English very well and were always eager to read and learn they even attempted to teach us some Nepalese though most of the time they ended up laughing at us. It\&#39 s been a great experience the only hard part being - trying to keep up with their energy. Accommodation and meals The food was good and they always made sure we had plenty to eat the care taker was incredible she took care of the kids and us at the same time without breaking a sweat. We had a nice spacious room. Coordinator The coordinator gave us a map on the first day along with orientation on the sights and culture which proved to be very helpful. A warm motherly lady she certainly made us feel at home during our stay. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? YES!”

“The picture and video sections were very good on Volunteering Solutions website. The pre departure booklet was well put together and questions were answered promptly and accurately. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. It was an amazing experience where I was able to bond with the kids and learn from them. The highlight of my trip was getting to know the kids and learning about Nepal. Both accommodation and meals were amazing. Three good meals a day and a comfortable place to sleep with a friendly environment. I would recommend Volunteering Solutions as I think it was an amazing experience.”

“Pre departure I received a lot of helpful information in preparation for my trip. Arrival and Airport Pickup The taxi was right out at the front to pick me up from the airport with my name on a sign to alert me. Accommodation and Meals Uma was very gracious and opened her home to me. She prepared two- three meals per day depending on my schedule and the food was very good. Did you enjoy working at your Project ? I had a very rewarding experience. The children are very cute well behaved and easy to get attached to. My job was to help them in their homework and teach them English. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!”

“Pre Departure Volunteering Solutions staff at the head office gave me all the information needed to prepare myself for Nepal trip. They always replied to email fast. Arrival / Airport Pickup Pickup was great was waiting for me when I arrived. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes I did. The hospital was very eager to help me settle in and learn as much I could. They set out a program for me so that everyday I knew exactly what I was doing which made it easy for me. Accommodation and meals The home stay was a wonderful experience. They made me feel welcome and helped me settle in the home. The meals were very tasty too. Coordinator Uma helped me with other travel that I wanted to do around Nepal and always gave me a lot of information. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!”

“Pre Departure Good information was provided so that applicants knew what to expect what to prepare and such. Arrival/ Airport Pickup Airport pickup was seamlessly arranged. Placement/ Volunteer Project Staying at the Orphanage allowed volunteers to help children in many avenues and opportunities were always present for us to work with them. Accommodation and meals The accommodation was great. A family like environment was provided so that volunteers always felt at home. Coordinator A friendly and amicable lady. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!!”

“Pre Departure Information and Contact Clear and helpful. Emails and phone calls were all answered promptly in a timely manner. Your Experience on the Program/Trip Amazing! I would highly recommend this trip. In a large group of over 30 volunteers/students everything was well organized thoughtfully planned which made our time efficiently well spent. The accommodation and meals were fantastic. What was the highlight of your volunteering experience and your trip? Seeing the look on my students faces as they saw an orphan smile. Walking through Durbar Square at 9:am. Seeing Mt. Everest from the cockpit. Standing in a crowded market amongst people cars and motorcycles in pitch dark. Watching a cremation ceremony. It is hard to choose :) Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES!!”

“Pre Departure Information and Contact Good communication from Volunteering Solutions and any questions I had were answered quickly. Arrival and Airport Pickup Good. No problems. Placement/Volunteer Project Nepal Child Conservation&#39 s home had a very warm and loving environment for the children. I was made to feel welcome by all staff and it was easy to interact with the children Accommodation and meals Home stay was excellent and Uma was an amazing host making me feel welcome and at ease in a new environment. The meals were also excellent with plenty to eat and a good variety of food. Uma cooked traditional Nepalese food which was very nice. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES Definitely!”

“Pre Departure Information and Contact Most of my questions about going to Nepal were answered in a timely fashion. Volunteering Solutions provided with a good packing list and things to keep in mind while in Nepal. Arrival/ Airport Pickup Besides loosing one of my bags initially at the airport the pickup went very well. It was very easy to find my host contact. Placement and Volunteer Project I did my volunteer work at the children\&#39 s home in Ksibu and it was a wonderful experience. I was able to interact with children aged 4-9 years .I helped them with their school work and taught them fun filled games. Accommodation and meals I always had more than enough food. Meals were tasty and provided three times a day. I enjoyed staying with my host family because we were able to do many activities and I still had a lot of time for myself. I had my own room which was also very nice. Coordinator Kept me well informed and prepared me for all parts of my volunteer &amp travel trip. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES I would recommend anyone interested in the lives of young children to embark in a volunteering experience like this one please feel free to contact me for any questions about my trip.
