“The pre departure booklet was very informative. All in all we were very well prepared for out trip and the staff helped us with everything. It was my first experience in volunteering abroad the children were amazing our host house was perfect. The orphanage was choking at first but we managed to spend time with the children trying to create some activities and help them out with their homework. The accommodation was very clean and very well equipped to host volunteered from different places in the world. Uma was extremely helpful she made sure we were safe in very where we used to visit. To volunteer is to contribute your goodness and works to humanity unselfishly without seeking any rewards. It was worth spending the holidays with these angels.”

“First of all I really liked how the website included all the necessary information it is very well organized and detail oriented. Moreover it contained all the programs and the varieties VS offers. The pre-departure booklet was very helpful in terms of assisting us and providing us with the necessary information needed for our trip. The sections were all very clear. The project was very interesting the people were very nice and the kids are amazing. My experience was definitely worthwhile it was a new experience full of different things. considering I was only there for a week I am not sure how much of an impact I made. However I do feel that my efforts were somehow appreciated even if it was only a small percentage. The accommodation was good. It was clean comfortable and calm. The meals were great and trying Nepalese food and being able to live with them gave me a taste of a different culture learning how to accommodate. The highlight of my volunteering experience was the fact that i got to discover how these kids are how strong and independent most of them turn out to be. Moreover it made me realize that i would like to do it again! As for the trip as a whole discovering Nepal was an amazing experience. All of it especially going to Pokhara! “There are things in life u know you will never forget and being in Nepal and that orphanage was one of those experiences for me. Seeing the amount of hope those kids had despite of everything was overwhelming and inspirational! I loved being there and i hope I can have a chance to go for a longer period next time! “The website was good and professional easy to find the information needed. Lots of pictures lots of stories from other volunteers. The staff was very helpful and the communication was simple and fast. The response time on email was less than 24 hours which I found highly appreciative. I enjoyed the stay at the hospital the doctors were very helpful and ready to explain things. The highlight of the trip was meeting Uma and the kids and being accepted as a part of their life here. The stay here far exceeds all of mine pre trip expectations. The accommodation as well as every meal was amazing. Living here was like being part of a big and loving family. I had the time of my life here at &quot save lives foundation&quot . I would recommend Volunteering Solutions to my friends and family without any doubt. I really appreciate the opportunity Uma provided for going on Trips in the weekends. It was so interesting being in Pokhara and Chitwan - and getting the opportunity to do the canyon swing. :) THANK YOU!!”

“I really enjoyed working in the hospital and it provided me with many valuable experiences that I do not want to miss. The hospital where I worked is good staffed. I do not want to miss the experience I made in Nepal. It was important for me to see and feel how people in other cultures live. I always find it amazing how friendly and helpful most poor people are! Sad moments such as peopled who cannot afford live-saving therapies are also important for me to experience. i more and more have the desire to give something back for my luck to live in a rich country. Apart from the work I appreciate the opportunity I had to get to know the culture of Nepalese. Living in the family provided my with deep insight which a tourist staying in a hotel would never experience. In particular I appreciated that the hospital staff and the family invited us to join their ceremonies on occasion of the &#39 Festival of the Lights&#39 (Diwali). The accommodation in the family was fantastic and I enjoyed the food. The family where I stayed together with 3 other volunteers entails 8 orphans the &#39 mother&#39 and her adult son. All very helpful and friendly people and the kids are really nice! The accommodation provided much more than I would have expected including a hot shower and WLAN. Uma is a very experienced coordinator and she is always helpful and a lovely person. Without any doubt I will recommend this organization to anyone.”

“I thought the description of the programs on website was very nice and I also liked the quick overview of different programs. I got very fast response of my emails and pre departure booklet was helpful too. I enjoyed working at my placement. The highlight of my volunteering experience was meeting and becoming friends with the other volunteers along with becoming friends and playing with the kids at Uma&#39 s house. The accommodation was very nice and meals were nice too better than I expected. I had a very good experience with Volunteering Solutions so I would recommend this program to anyone.”

“I liked My Account because you can find a lot of information about your destination and you know which things you suppose to do before the departure. It&#39 s my favorite area but the other area are nice too. The pre departure booklet is useful and provided many program related and country specific information. I liked my placement at the government hospital. The people were nice and helpful. The highlight from the volunteering trip were the meetings with people come from different countries. :) Nepal Spain USA China Italy Sweden Denmark Singapore etc. and it was amazing. The host family is perfect and the accommodations too. The meals were good too. I would recommend this program as it&#39 s an amazing experience! I will never forget this trip and the people! :)”

“I liked that the website was regularly updated as the application process was going through. It was very clear on what was needed to be done and what was done. The pre departure booklet was very helpful and the staff were very responsive when I emailed them with the questions. I liked my program placement. The children were a joy to work with and it was a very enriching experience. The highlight of my volunteering experience was to live with a local family and learn about their culture and way of living. Interaction with the family and the bond created will be something I will never forget. Our home stay mother cooked extremely delicious food. The meals will be one of the things that I will miss terribly. The accommodation was very clean and had all the basic necessities. I enjoyed staying at the home stay. I will surely recommend this program to anyone.”
