I like the whole website because the structure of the website is very well so it is easy to find everything as quick as possible. All in all the pre-departure booklet was helpful. I got many information about the country and the culture. I completely enjoyed my placement if I had the time I would have extend for 2 more months. And I find my experience worthwhile because I can speak Nepali I had the opportunity to translate in Nepali when the children did not understand me. I was happy with the accommodation and with the meals. In-country staff support was very well. Actually every day was an highlight. But they were two special highlights. One was that we were allowed to take the children from the orphanage out from their hostel and we went to garden of dreams in Kathmandu. It was a lot of fun especially for the children because they are never allowed to go out from their hostel. The other special highlight was my farewell. The children and me were really sad because I enjoyed to be with the children and it was nice for them to have a volunteer who can speaks Nepali for them.

I find the website organized easy to navigate and appealing. The pre – departure booklet was very helpful and gave good and relevant information about Nepal. Service and staff was nice. I did enjoy working at my project and I am glad that I was able to switch hospital to a closer one and one that better fit my interests. I would have enjoyed it more if the work been more hands-on than observational. The accommodation was comfortable and good location even given that it was out of the city center. Food was good and plenty for all volunteers. It would be nice to have a group cooking class to make traditional Nepali food altogether. The highlight of volunteering trip was the interaction with the hospital staff and seeing a wide range of cases and how different the hospitals are here. The highlight of my trip was travelling on the weekends and bungy jumping. I will recommend the program by informing that the work is more observational than hands-on.

I liked that the countries that I could volunteer in were shown very clearly on the website. The volunteer programs were described very specifically. The pre-departure was very useful after reading it I did not need to read any guides. The service staff answered all my questions and the replies came very quick. I loved my volunteer project! I get to meet amazing children and help them in their studies. We also had a lot of fun because we played games. The accommodation conditions were very good. There was always drinking water available. Meals were delicious. There were 3 meals and every time you could eat as much as you liked. The highlights of my trip are – Teaching English to the kids by singing with them and playing memory games. Meeting all the other volunteers and making friends with them. Exploring Kathmandu city all the tourist places but not only sights. I will definitely recommend this program and organization to others.

The website was very structured and all information were available and easy to find. The pre-departure booklet was also very useful to prepare for the trip. The service was really good. The Answers to the emails where really fast. I enjoyed my placement the accommodation and meals both were good and I definitely felt that my efforts get appreciated. The in-country staff were really nice and helped me a lot. Working at the orphanage is the highlight of my volunteering trip.

I liked the fact that website is organised in a stepwise manner and that each volunteer has his/her own personal profile. I think that pre-departure booklet was very informative and it prepared me well to what I would find and what I would be doing in Nepal. The staff members were extremely efficient because each time we sent an email to ask for information there was always a very quick reply. I enjoyed my placement and I loved the fact that we were allowed to go to the orphanage during our free time even though we were volunteering as medical interns. I feel fulfilled and I felt very appreciated by all the people I worked with. I liked the fact that there were 3 meals a day prepared for us at the same time because this gave me some routine with food which is important for me. Also I felt that the food was prepared with love. The potatoes were delicious! The in-country staff was extremely nice and helpful all throughout my placement. The highlight of my trip was being able to help out at the orphanage for disabled kids seeing and learning about diseases which we do not have in Malta and travelling around Nepal to see the beauty it offers.

I like the instant web chat on the website. It allows the questions of the potential volunteers to be answered in a promptly manner without having to make long distance calls. The website is very clear and concise too. The booklet has all the pertinent things a volunteer needs to know before embarking on that trip. I think the booklet is very well written and it is a pleasure to read it with pictures for visual. Staff answered promptly and straight to the point. Very approachable and friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. It was an eye-opener as I got to witness medical procedures that I would have otherwise not have the chance to witness in my home country. I would like to think I made the staff' and patients' day by bringing joy and laughter to the hospital and offloading them in some administrative work as I'm still a pre-med and so I'm unable to engage in medical-related activities. Accommodation was basic and sufficient. As volunteers we should not expect luxurious accommodation. Meals were promptly served and deliciously. I like it that we got a chance to taste the local dishes whipped up by the country coordinator as well. Really makes me feel fully immersed in the country's culture! Uma (In-country Coordinator) is the best that one can have. She is very motherly and always takes care of all the volunteers like we are her own. She offers good tips that only locals will know which makes things a lot easier for us in a foreign land. The highlight has got to be witnessing surgeries and mingling with the locals. This is something that a tourist will never be able to experience. Coupled with weekend trips to tour the country this is by far the best holiday I have had! Everything is easily located and the website is easy to navigate. Good for now. I will definitely participate in another volsol project again!

The information is easy to find on the website. Clear website I liked the stories and pictures of other volunteers. The information was in pre-departure booklet was good about habits culture and what to bring. I had a very good contact with Sahil Sabharwal. He responded quickly and clear to my questions. I loved working the Paropkar girls. But I expected to work more hours. I was able to do that in festival times that was good. I am glad I got to teach English at school as well because I was more useful there then in the orphanage. The food was so nice that Uma makes western food at times that we are used to. The volunteer house is also okay way better than I expected in Nepal. I really enjoyed getting to know the wonderful kids and teachers. Teaching English and giving the school world maps was wonderful. I also traveled and did the Langtang trekking. Nepal is the most beautiful country I have ever been! I will definitely recommend but not only the orphanage program. It’s really nice and more useful to mix it with another program to work more hours and do more useful work. There were sometimes too many volunteers in the orphanage. Two for the girls and two for the boys is plenty they need the help more at Neel Barahi School.

The pre departure booklet was very useful. Staff were very helpful and answered any questions quickly. I had the best of both worlds I got to spend time with the kids at Save Lives Foundations and going to the school to work in the nursery kindergarten I got to play with the kids and give them lots of love. The love and smiles I got back from the kids was worth a million dollars and I felt I made a difference. I got a presentation from the school and it was very emotional for me I&#39 m not used with getting praise but they made me sound like a god. I was just trying to make everyday a happy day for the kids so they could forget their troubles . The children were surely the highlight for me. And the love from all the local people. Everybody was amazing. The accommodation was fine and food was good missed meat but there was lots of good mo-mos around so nobody was starving. Good to get local food . Uma was great she could answer any question and organized taxi to airport had lots of good advice felt like a mother hen. I felt very well looked after at home. I liked the fact I didn&#39 t have to pay lots of money to take part in this program it meant I had more money to spend on the kids and buying books pencils etc for the school and chocolate. A great experience that I will never forget.
