Hi Royden, Thanks for the 4* rating and sharing your suggestions regarding the organised activities and sightseeing after work hours. Sightseeing and tours are included as a part of the program in a few program options such as 2 Week Special Program, 1 Week Special Program, 3 Week Summer Program as well as Language and Orientation Week. We give the volunteers flexibility and options to choose from a wide variety of programs. For those interested in doing some sightseeing/touring with us, we have the selected programs available. However, it is not always possible to have sightseeing activities everyday as some participants like to have flexibility and freedom to explore and do things on their own as well. “I found ny experience with Volunteering Solutions as a whole very positive. The booking process was smooth and very simple- the team were quick to respond to queries and always very helpful. Once arrived in Delhi, the pick up process was again very simple and our guide wqs easy to find. The accomodation was fantastic and Rajiv a very helpful host. The apartment was very clean and spacious- my only request would be to include a clearer list in the pre-departure pack of what we need to bring i.e. toilet paper, duvet/bedsheet, this was never explained. Other than this I found the living quarters extremely pleasant. The food each day was wonderful and very prompt. It was great to have a guide drive us to our children’s centre on the first day to introduce us to the centre team and show us the journey. The centre was a great experience and I really enjoyed meeting all the children, the staff were really supportive at helping us understand how we can help the children with basic maths, English and basic life skills. During the orientation session, it wqs helpful to have a guide of which sites we should visit when in Delhi, making the most of our evenings once finishing at the centres at 4pm. I would like to thank Volunteering Solutions, Rajiv and his family for making my experience so fulfulling and comfortable- Ive really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be returning.”
