“I absolutely loved my India medical Internship experience! The local team in Delhi were incredible they were kind, welcoming, warm and I felt really safe. They made sure we saw the best of India! The hospital placement where I worked was within a short drive from the volunteer home. I observed some major surgeries at the OT and also Emergency cases in the Emergency department. India was more than I could have hoped for, it was one of the best experiences of my life! I will definitely return back to India soon to do another trip !!”

“I have just completed two weeks of volunteering through Volunteering Solutions’ Street Children project in Delhi and the experience far exceeded all of my expectations. As a first time solo traveller I was very nervous going into this, however from stepping into the airport I was warmly greeted by Deeraj and a fellow volunteer and my anxieties vanished. There were a number of volunteers staying at the accommodation, for different periods of time and a variety of ages, which greatly helped as those that had been staying longer helped the newest to settle in and showed us the ropes. I have made some amazing friends from all over the world. The staff have all been very lovely and friendly, giving specific advice whenever needed and helping me to settle into the programme. The project itself was incredible. The children were full of energy and so eager to learn, and it has been truly eye opening to have had the experience to work and play with them. As one of the volunteers said when I first arrived, you come into a volunteering programme like this expecting to provide help, however what you don’t expect is that by the time to leave they have helped you on your own journey just as much if not more. I would like to thank all of the staff for providing me with the means to have the best time and make the most amazing memories.”

“It was a lovely experience. Prepare for the unexpected and be willing to improvise. Volunteering Solutions won't have everything planned out for you so make sure to have ideas of your own. For example, you may have extra free time after work assignments so have fun and go explore some monuments!”

“The whole experience exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately I had few time at my disposal but inmy short time I felt I was really there for something, I really felt I can give a sort of aid durig the classes. The Volunteer house was a bit far from the city center, but this was both a pro and a con. It was very peaceful but the way to reach the school as a bit long. Hope to be back again soon”
