Website was easy to navigate and very informative. It was great to read the testimonials and hear that others had a great experience in videos. I liked everything about the website all good! Pre-departure booklet and staff services were excellent – If and when I had any queries I received a reply mostly within 24 hours. I very much enjoyed working at the school. It was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget and hope to repeat. Accommodation and meals were good – perhaps just make it clear only hand washing is possible (of clothes etc.) Coordinator and staff were excellent. Meeting and knowing the Children were the highlight of my volunteering experience. I would surely recommend this organization. Keep up the wonderful job you are doing.

The pre departure booklet was very thorough. That added to the substantial information provided on the website made me very logistically prepared. After only two weeks at Karam hospital. I feel as though I have learned a lot. The people were informative and the variety of experience was great. The only change I would have made was to either learn basic Hindi in preparation. But this is just a small change on my part the internship itself was great. Our host family Bobby nd his family are lovely people – a gift to any intern lucky enough to experience them. The house is lovely and the food is good and well made. ( Special thanks to Johinder and his constant cooking!) Bobby and Amit have both been wonderful and informative – always willing to provide both logistical information and good conversation. I will recommend this program to future volunteers and hopefully I will come back again in the future.

I liked that you could follow everything on the website if you knew about the flight time or the money the button was green and I also knew everything is all right. Predeparture booklet was everytime quick and good. I enjoyed working at my placement the kids were amazing. I had alot of fun with the kids and the stuff. Accommodation was nice I liked it being with people in one room together! Meal were delicious. :) Coordinator and staff were nice. My highlight was to live and work with the Indian people. Now I know something about the culture and the country and the most beautiful temple I visited was Akshardham in Delhi! I love to visit it again.

I really appreciated the ease to navigate through the website and find the programs that I was interested in. The pre departure booklet was very helpful and descriptive of to what I should expect in Delhi very helpful. My trip was everything that I expect it to be. It was very exciting and humbling at the same time. Experience I will never forget. My coordinator did a great job during orientation and also during my project to help me with whatever questions and concerns I had. By far meeting the children and helping them with their studies were the highlight of my experience. I also took a trip to the Himalaya mountain that was amazing. My experience has only intensified my thoughts about this organization. My house manager Shankar Kapar was very polite and went above and beyond his job duty to make me very comfortable during my stay. Shankar showed incredible patience with other guests and maintained a professional attitude. I believe he is a very important piece to the India Street Children Program.

I really liked the fact that your profile on the website showed all the different thing that still had to be done or were already done. Thus it was very easy to get an overview. I found pre-departure booklet very informative though the information given scared me a bit sometimes. I actually loved to stay at the orphanage with the children because I learned a lot about Indian customs and lifestyle. Accommodation and meals both was great. I have nothing absolutely to complain about. Staff were extremely careful and willing to listen to problems. I found it very interesting to live with other volunteers. We would go out and discover India together which increased the level of fun and comfortability. I will definitely recommend this organization and I even consider to chose this organization again for future programmes in other countries.

I like the personal account on the website where I can upload things that makes the whole process very easy. The structure of the website is also very simple and clean. The pre departure booklet was very helpful to prepare for my stay in India. It summarizes the main information about the country itself as well as it gives good information about the accommodation and the chosen project. The few questions that I had were answered very quickly and friendly. I had the feeling to be in good hands and the staff really cares about my worries. The project has given me much insight about the life in India and I am very thankful for the time with the children. Everyone was friendly to me and after some time I felt like we were one little family. I really enjoyed the playing helping with homework drawing etc. because I felt my help is appreciated. The accommodation was simple but always clean. Sometimes I missed a kitchen where we could make tea for in between (because we could only go to kitchen for breakfast and dinner). It was a good way to experience the everyday life here in India. The meals were good I enjoy Indian food. The Staff especially Shankar were very friendly. They tried to create a good atmosphere and helped us when we had questions gave good advice and explanations. My highlight was the work in my project playing with the children seeing them happy was my everyday pleasure. At the end we were like a little family and I will really miss them. Also living with international volunteers together was very good experience that I will never forget. I will recommend this organization for sure I had a great time here. My project gave me very many memories that I will never forget. I gained experience for life.

I like my account page when I login with the email id and password. I found pre-departure booklet there which was very helpful and informative. My project was amazing. I had the time of my life. Really good and clean accommodation. Everything was good but the food was very spicy. The Staff and coordinator are very helpful and nice. The highlight were the days at Jamghat (Shelter for Street Children) and the day trip to the Taj Mahal.

It was really easy to fill up all the required documents and information on the website. I also liked that even though you receive the information in your personal email it is also possible to find it on the website. It would be useful to find some link to other pages with information about Indian : culture language travelling food way of life. The Pre-departure booklet was useful because it had the information about the country the placement and the program. It was exhaustive but not too long easy to read and understand. It was easy to keep in contact with the staff and they helped me with everything that I required. The responses were quick and helpful. It has been a great experience to work in the Adharshila Health centre. It is a small center only for women where you can see clearly some of the most prevalent diseases in this country. The centre is located in a neighborhood where most people never get to go to a hospital ( lower - middle class) so the work done in the centre is very nice. You have to trace the problems and decide if it can be managed in the centre or it requires the treatment in the hospital. It is very interesting to see the difference between the Indian and the European medical practices. There were ample similarities as well. Also the doctors in the centre were very kind with me they explained to me everything that I had asked and I could examine the patients easily. It is a great experience to help but also get to learn but not only about medicine but also how to deal with patients that hardly understand you. To make the patients comfortable with me has been one of my personal goals here. The house is located in quiet and safe neighbourhood. The security is for 24 hours a day. There is a park inside and the market is just in front of the entrance. The house is enough for all the people living here. It is always clean rooms with A/C a fridge a living room with TV… I felt as I was at home. The food is also good it is simple and tasty. Shankar is the guy who lives in the house cleans cooks… he’s really a great guy always kind and helpful with everything you need. It is really easy to get along with him and he has become a friend to me. Rajeev and Dheeraj were the two people ( apart from Shankar) who helped us here especially in the first week. They were also kind and ready to explain everything about the city. I think the best part of my experience has been to be able to contact with a local people and culture. It has been the perfect way to know the country as I had to deal with different situations. I have tried to be open- minded and live as the Indian people live eating what they eat going in the same buses and trains...and I would recommend to do this to everyone. Also my work at the centre has been very useful for me as I learnt lots of things that I would never had learnt in Spain. I would like to thank especially Shankar and Dr.Sonia because they have made my trip here really easy and comfortable I felt as I was at home.
