“There were a lot of programs on the website to choose from and it was easy to navigate. Everyone in the service staff was very helpful in regards to answering my questions. Emails were received very quickly. The pre-departure guide was very helpful and informative. I enjoyed my placement at an orphanage named Jamghat the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The children were very sweet and enjoyed learning Spanish. The accommodation was very comfortable. The meals were nicely prepared but more variety in meals would be appreciated. The Volsol staff was very helpful and welcoming. The best part about my experience was being able to share Spanish culture with the girls also the opportunity to explore Delhi through my stay. I will surely recommend this project and thanks for everything.”

“I liked that the website was colorful and had a wide variety of programs available. But I would like to see more pictures of volunteers with the kids at the placement locations. The pre – departure booklet was very helpful although the info about visa is bit confusing for me. I loved my placement. The kids were amazing and the in-country staff Rajiv and Sunita are inspirational. The placement was bit crowded at times but that was part of the experience. The accommodation was great there is always hot water supply and extremely delicious food!! The coordinators are very helpful with the information about Delhi and great cooks. Being immersed in a new culture trying new things are the highlights of my trip – Taj Mahal was also incredible.”

“I liked the volunteering portal section where I could log in and receive all the information for my trip. I found the pre-departure booklet very useful it gave me all the information I needed. Operation Head Sahil was awesome. He answered all my questions in a timely manner. My placement was great and the manager was a joy to work with. I feel fortunate to have been given that placement as the project also housed a women's empowerment group which I got to help out with. However I feel there could have been more structure to the project and I wasn't given any instructions on what to teach or the level of the students. I managed because I have teaching experience and can gauge academic levels easily but my partner struggled to come up with lessons for the students. I felt my efforts get appreciated and I would love to come back and do another project with Volunteering Solutions. The accommodations were good but I think the meals were a bit bland at times and somewhat repetitive. Although the In-country staff were great. The service provided was excellent! This trip to the Taj Mahal is the highlight!! It was great!!! Deraj(sp) was an awesome guide and driver!”

“I found the company website easy to navigate and very informative. It was great to read the testimonials and hear that they had a great experience. The service staff were excellent. If and when I had any queries I received a reply mostly within 24 hours. I very much enjoyed working at the school. It was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget and hope to repeat. Accommodation and meals were good – perhaps just make it clear that not all the bedding is provided and only hand washing is possible (of clothes etc). The In-country staff were excellent. The children are the highlight of my trip. I will definitely recommend this program. Keep up the wonderful job you are doing.”

“I really liked all the areas on the website it is well organized and have all the information you need. The pre-departure booklet was also very helpful it has good recommendations and informations that you need to to know and the staff was very quick answering all the questions. I really enjoyed my placement the children were awesome very kind cheerful and respectful. The accommodation was good and the meals were always delicious. All the staff was very helpful the whole time. It was a great experience it did fulfil my expectations. I would love to do it again sometime.”

“I found the website very easy to use. The design is aesthetically pleasing and appears professional. Payment sale is also clear and concise. Pre– departure booklet was helpful and has a lot of useful information. I was confused initially about arrival/starting dates but this section has already been edited and is now clearer. I was also confused about the amount of info on the orphanage position in the booklet. As I was not in the placement I was helping to get more info on my own volunteering placement. any questions I had were answered promptly via email. I have thoroughly enjoyed the placement the staff at clinic was very welcoming and excited to work with me. All the physicians that I worked with were genuinely excited to have me and eager to share their experiences in the medical field in India. The patients were also open to my presence in the clinic. Accommodation was clean and comfortable very convenient location for my placement. The staff is very attentive and obviously care very much that the volunteers have a fun fulfilling and safe volunteering experience. Highlight has been exploring Delhi with fellow volunteers! Lot of delicious food beautiful sights to see and an amazing rich culture to experience. Volunteers in the healthcare placement are from a variety of different backgrounds – nurses doctors medical students enjoyed meeting them too.”

“I liked the login system which had a personalised account for you telling you exactly what you had completed and what you need to do. The website was very clear and simple I had very good communication before and during the programme. Pre-departure information answered all my questions.I thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering at the women’s Hospital. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and I have learnt so much about healthcare in India and about myself! The volunteer house is perfect for what I needed and it is located in such beautiful surroundings. The food was authentic Indian and delicious. Our In-country coordinator Bobby and Amit were very helpful and organised as well as being very friendly and accommodating. I have had so many highlights in this trip I cannot specify the best from delivering babies making new friends visiting temples and sitting around the campfire every night my whole stay has been incredible. I will definitely recommend this programme and organisation. In a heartbeat I will say yes for it! Thank you so much to all of the organisers and coordinators – I have had a truly wonderful time!”

“I like the tracker system on the website which gave you a countdown until the start of your program.I have received my pre-departure booklet just on completing the online sign up process and I find it really informative. I volunteered in Delhi with Volunteering Solutions in July for two weeks. Obviously I was very nervous before I arrived as I'd never been to a foreign country before on my own. but upon arrival I was met with a smile at the airport and was driven straight to the accommodation. The staff and hosts at VolSol made us feel incredibly safe and comfortable and they were very welcoming. The volunteering experience was incredibly rewarding. Working with the kids and learning about their backgrounds is a very eye-opening experience and has made me eager to volunteer again some time soon. If given the option I'd also recommend going on the weekend excursions that VolSol offers to its volunteers. I opted to take the weekend trip to Jaipur and Agra which was an unforgettable experience. My placement was very enjoyable. The kids were fantastic and the placement was very organised with dedicated staff. The accommodation was fantastic and I really enjoyed the meals. The in-country staff was very organised dedicated and helpful. I really enjoyed volunteering with the kids but also trip to Jaipur and Agra particularly the Amber fort and Elephant ride. Overall I would highly recommend Volunteering Solutions and I will certainly be volunteering with them again some time in the near future!”
