“The pictures. testimonials and the videos from past volunteers on website were helpful. The pre departure booklet was good and very helpful. I very enjoyed working at my placement and I just wish I had some more time. The highlight of my volunteering trip was the first day when I went to the village and it was just amazing. The way the children were happy because of our visit was overwhelming. Another highlight was the cultural show at the village and my trip to the monkey village and the waterfall all were just amazing. I stayed in a host family. They received me with arms wide open and I enjoyed my time a lot. I had my own room I had everything I needed. The food was good. My host mother tried to prepare the best for me. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone.”

“Information about all the programs around the world on website was very helpful. My Account section was very helpful and it was really useful. Facebook page of Volunteering Solutions was also very helpful as we were able to contact other volunteers about their views on the program and Ghana. The pre departure booklet was very informative and helpful. We very much enjoyed working at our placements. We were able to get a nice mix of working at the Tamale Central Hospital as well as teach at a small village school and at the girls school. All placements provided opportunities to do productive work and make a difference. The highlight from our trip were the children that we taught at the village. Also seeing medical conditions that we don&#39 t see in the USA (Malaria and Measles). On the weekend we enjoyed holding the crocodile tail and siting on one. Fred and Rose did a great job making us feel welcome and the accommodation was perfect. Rose is a great cook and we enjoyed our meals. Ghana is a very friendly community and we always felt safe. This is our second volunteer experience with Volunteering Solutions. We have enjoyed tremendously. Appreciate the commitment to making the volunteer experience meaningful.”

“The account page is much better than it was last time and the picture area was also very nice. The pre departure booklet was very helpful. I loved my program placement. The school girls are amazing and everyone in Ghana is friendly and welcoming. The highlight of my trip was definitely the girls at the program and the village tours/experience. My host family was family was fantastic. They were very warm and approachable! Meals were delicious. So I would definitely recommend this program to any who is interested in real Ghanaian experience.”

“The 7-8 steps until the final departure are very helpful and easy to understand. The pre-departure booklet was helpful. I enjoyed working at my placement. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Me and the kids had a lot of fun and learnt a lot about the other cultures. There were lots of highlights in my 3 months with 3 months in Tamale Fred&#39 s birthday with eating a goat was fund and all the trips were good. The whole 3 months were full of highlights. The food was very good and every time someone didn&#39 t liked the food there was always some other food and drinks. Local food was a nice experience too. I would surely recommend this program as its a great way to volunteer in Africa and you won&#39 t regret it.”

“The website was colorful organized and fairly easy to navigate through. The staff was very helpful in replying to all our queries. I very much enjoyed my placement. The girls were very sweet and eager to learn. The highlight of my volunteer trip was teaching going to the baby orphanage and the trips during the weekends. It was also great getting to know all the other volunteers. I loved staying in Fred&#39 s house. It was comfortable enough and we felt very welcome. Food was fine. Our coordinator Frederick was really amazing. He always - always went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable. When my sister and I ran out of pills he arranged to have them sent to us from Accra and they were picked for me and brought to the house. The guy helping him were also great. They always took us around and answered any questions about living in Ghana and stuff about the culture. They were also very fun to be around. But really Fred was such an incredible part of the program and I will miss him dearly. I would surely recommend this program option to anyone. Thank you so much for everything.”

I very much enjoyed working with girls and it is a great place as was the orphanage. I really don&#39 t think I could say as cheesy as it sounds but I really loved every moment. I wish I didn&#39 t have to leave. The accommodation was amazing so were the meals I would change nothing. I would surely recommend this program option to anyone.”

“I loved the countdown that shows how many days left until the start of my program in My Account. I also love the pictures and videos and the the site is really very easy to use. The pre departure booklet was very helpful. It was quite detailed. I loved that it described the airport in Accra and exactly what to do when we landed - without that we would have been a lot more nervous. I absolutely enjoyed working at my projects especially the orphanage. It was very refreshing and rewarding to work with children. The students were very passionate about learning and it was a pleasure to teach them. There are lot of highlights from my trip to Ghana - I loved traveling on weekends I loved spending time with them children and I also loved meeting with new people here in Ghana. The accommodation and meals were excellent :). They definitely were out of their way to make that we are enjoying our stay. Our room and house were very nice and the family helped us with anything we needed - especially with washing our clothes. I think Volunteering Solutions is a great program and I loved Fred and his family. I will surely recommend Volunteering Solutions.”

“The website was very clear and well displayed. It&#39 s organized informative display made me have faith in my security choosing this program. The pre departure booklet was excellent. I found it very informative. Questions were answered in a very fast manner which I really appreciated. I enjoyed my program placement very much once I was able to pick the place. I very much enjoyed getting to know the kids. I taught at the village the moments when I was able to teach them something they have never learned before were extremely rewarding. I also loved all the traveling I was able to do in our last week. Our host family was wonderful. They were always willing to help and to adjust our meals to our liking. I was very happy with my host family. I enjoyed the people involved with this organization and the mindset. It&#39 s a noble organization and I have a lot of respect for them so I will surely recommend it to others.”
