I am sharing this feedback on behalf of myself and my cousin Ciara Fenlon as we traveled together. On this volunteering trip I enjoyed meeting the other volunteers in the house and making friends with the locals experiencing the local way of living and our weekend trip to Mole. Also the thank you concert put on by the village school children on our last day and Giving the toys that we brought to the children in the orphanage are few of those special moments that we cherished during our stay. The overall living experience was excellent. It was very comfortable and homely stay with all the facilities I could have asked for. The in-country staff was very friendly and supportive. They made the program easier and smooth. The overall design of the website was quite attractive and navigating the site was easy. I found the website perfect to use. The pre-departure booklet was very useful. For volunteers traveling during Ramadan it would be helpful to know that no shorts or dresses can be worn as that is all that we brought so we struggled with getting washed each day. The service staff was outstanding. I would recommend VolSol to anyone I know is willing to volunteer abroad mostly because of the variety of programs.

I liked the "my account" and the pictures/movies from the projects around the world on the website. The Pre-Departure was very good but there is a lot to read before departure. But I took it with me to the destination and used it there. It is important to learn about the culture and safety in the country you visit. The service staff were very good. Always answering within a day after asking them. Very good service! I enjoyed my placement very much. It was fantastic and I definitely felt that they liked my presence and my work. The accommodation and meals were okay. Just a bit sad that we didn't cook ourselves everyday. But it was only men living in the house so maybe that's why haha.. The in-country support staff was also very good. The highlight of my volunteering experience was to go on tours with the other volunteers.

The Pre-Departure Information was good. Some very useful information and it helped to become used to the project. I really liked the project and it was so much fun working with the children and other Ghanaians. The training was always good and my players were so nice to me. It was fun to work with them. The placement was very nice too. The people made it easy to feel welcome and to have a great time. I really enjoyed the time and I made so many good experiences. I am really happy that I came to Ghana and worked in the project. I have the feeling that the children and the other people liked my work and I am sure they appreciated it. The accommodation was good. I did not have any expectations so it was easy to feel good. In the room I shared with another volunteer there was only a bed but for me it was not a problem. The meals were good I got lots of our common food like rice or noodles but I always was invited to try the local food. The in-country staff was very friendly and helped at the beginning. If I had a problem I could always tell him and he gave his best to help me. It was always funny with him as well. The training with the children was so great. In my last week we had an exciting match against a very good team but finally we were able to win the match. That was a really good feeling. It showed me that my work was of avail and my players and me reached something together. Ghanaian people are so nice and helpful. You should just greet them and be kind and they will like you. For the children you are like a star. They always shout when they see you and always want a high-five or play with you. People who like children will feel very well in Ghana. If you want to go to Ghana you don't need to be afraid. There are always people helping you and the medical supply is very good too. I am really happy that I came to Ghana and hopefully I can go there again.

I liked the fact that there is such a broad range of programmes available on the website. It was also very simple to use which I found made the whole experience before the trip much easier. Pre departure booklet was really thorough and a good read. Sahil was very helpful and answered every query I had before leaving. My placement was excellent. The only thing I would change would be to go for a few months instead of one week. I feel as if I would have been far more helpful if there for a longer time and I wish I had been. I do think that we were appreciated though and every one was extremely kind when speaking about us before we left. Both accommodation and meals were good. Program Coordinator Fredrick and Francise were both excellent at sorting everything out and meant that I had no worries at all in all the time I was there. They made the trip far better in my opinion. I liked and enjoyed everything. I couldn't pin point one aspect although others may say that me getting chased by a baboon in Mole park is their highlight!! Keep up the good work and expect to see me again next year!

The pre departure guide was very extensive and helpful. It covered all necessary information. I loved my program placement and the experience was enjoyable. The food and housing was everything I could ask for. My highlight from this trip was simply being able to begin building new classrooms for maltiti girls International School. Our coordinator was very helpful as well so I would surely recommend this program option to everyone who is interested.

What areas did you like about our website? I liked all the areas especially the parts where I could view testimonies and videos of past volunteers and the My Account Page that let me get in touch with the volunteers that I would be traveling with. How did you find the pre departure booklet given to you and the service of the staff in regards to answering your questions and helping you prepare? Excellent ! I was amazed at all the information given to me beforehand. It made me feel relieved while traveling by myself outside of the country. Did you enjoy working at your project / placement? Yes. I cant wait to come back again. It was nice having one project in the morning and another in the afternoon in case I preferred one over the other. Accommodation and meals I liked living with my host family. My host mom tried her best to prepare meals for me that would both teach me about Ghanaian culture but also meet my dietary needs. Would you recommend this program and our organization to others? yes/no YES. The amount of detail provided provided to you before you leave and the wonderful program coordinator - Frederick who takes care care of you every step of the way. Any comments and suggestions I researched so many organizations before I chose VS and discovered that this is the most well organized structured accessible and affordable volunteering organization. I am so happy with my journey and have a whole new outlook on life!

I like the structure of the site. It was easy to navigate and the description of the program was very helpful as well. The pre departure booklet was very helpful. It gave me first information about everything. The culture the people and the things which were important for this time. I had a great time at the placement. It was a great time to learn new things but also the time to share how the things are working in my home country. Some of the highlights from my volunteering trip to Ghana were: - Singing with children at the school and village. Feeding babies and love them. Kakum national park I guess everybody should go there. It&#39 s amazing. The place of staying was good. Water was there Light too. And the family was amazing. Meals were very tasty and good. I think Volunteering Solutions is an organization who really wants to help people and this is what volunteers want to do so I would recommend this program to everyone.
