A great opportunity to help girls with very difficult access to education but also to experience and immerse yourself a culture completely different from the western society. Surely not a vacation but an experience, the discomfort like the absence of running water is something that you have to accept, but the smile and gratitude of the locals for what you are doing there is the reward.

I can’t even explain what an amazing experience I had in Tamale at Maltiti Methodist Girls School. This experience truly changed my life as I built life long friendships with some of the incredible students. I cannot wait to return next year and see what more we can do to help Maltiti.

Having never been to Africa, and with an abundance of volunteering companies on the market, I was scared to make the jump into this adventure with Volunteering Solutions, but how wrong could I be. The team provided an excellent safety net back at base, and the Chief in Ghana looked after me wonderfully. My experience was incredible, and I urge anyone thinking of coming to Ghana, take the chance, you won't regret it. Big love!

My experience in Ghana was both very hard and very beautiful. The conditions in which they live and, therefore, in which you live are difficult to assimilate at first, but that is also part of the experience and the learning. On the other hand, all the love and respect of children makes up for everything. His smile when they see you arrive and how happy they are all the time is the most beautiful thing I've ever experienced. I’ve learned that the one that has the most is not the happiest but the one that needs the less. And in this sense, this is what made me change as a person. Experience takes you away from the “first world problems” and teaches you the value of what really matters in life: basic needs such as food, energy or water. Friendship, family, health and to be happy above all things. It also opens your eyes and teaches you to respect others despite being, thinking and living differently. The boys of the soccer team pleasantly surprised me. They are very good players! They also have an enviable discipline. They take it very seriously and respect their coaches very much. Before going forward I thought that maybe they wouldn't listen to me for being a girl. But I was wrong. They listened to me and did perfectly all the exercises I taught them. Also, the school experience was incredible. There are many girls wanting to learn and overcome. And best of all is the joy with which they receive you, the love they show you and their ability to help you at all times, make you really love them. They are all amazing girls.

My experience in Ghana was better than I could have dreamed. I chose this trip because of affordability, adventure, and the desire to immerse myself in a new different culture. I participated in the 3 week Summer Program. I was able to gain close relationships with the girls at Maltiti School through teaching and spending time with them, and my host family. If you go in with an open mind you will have an incredible experience. Our coordinator Fredrick made everything worry free and helped us adapt and understand the culture. I will miss Ghana and I wish I could have stayed longer. Take the plunge and see this beautiful and welcoming country for yourself, you won't regret it.
