I have just purchased the BioChef Blender and I have to say that it is extremely efficient compared with my previous blenders that had a lot less power and were totally inefficient when it came to making nut creams and butters which I make and use a lot. However I have these comments to make about the blender: There is a smell of burning that bothers me a little, however I am prepared to give the machine some time as a number of new machines do have this smell when used for the first time. However, I have read a review where it stated that the BioChef Service Staff considered this to be perfectly normal, even over a long period of time. This would bother me if the smell continued with every use. The shape of the jug maybe “conically shaped which helps food to be drawn down into the blades more effectively creating a smoother and finer result” however when you are making things like cashew or any other nut creams and butters it is a nightmare to get all of the cream out of the jug. You lose a fair amount of the product and I now have to compensate by using slightly more ingredients than the recipe calls for because in addition to the amount on the sides of the jug, a fair bit remains under the blades. Ordinary spatulas, even little ones, do not work efficiently because of the grooves throughout the jug. The machine I have had for years is the Princess Kitchen Centre from the Netherlands and the Blender bowl is extremely efficient as the bottom that houses the blade screws off for easy access to the contents and also ease in cleaning. I do wish the BioChef had this facility if would be magic. The third problem I experienced was the cleaning of the jug after making the cashew cream. I watched many demonstrations on YouTube and did a fair amount of reading prior to buying the BioChef, however the description regarding the ease of cleaning is not entirely accurate. Perhaps the suggested detergent and warm water and the pulsing 5 - 10 times may work for a smoothie or a small amount of ingredients, but it certainly does not remove things like cashew cream or thicker ingredients efficiently. In addition to the above comments I must refer to #9 in the Operating Instructions that states: “Please wipe all water off the cushion before starting operations. Any water present could be pulled in and will cause damage to the motor.” If this is a possibility then it begs the question, “Why wasn’t the cushion or the motor itself sealed against any spillage or water entering under the cushion?” Despite these points I still believe the BioChef is the best blender I have ever had and I sincerely hope that problems experienced by others will not occur with my machine which I am beginning to love.

I need a new blender I think I'll try the BioChef Blender. I don't use a blender often enough between the food processor and immersion blender to spend the money for the BioChef Blender; BUT my BF has one and it's really amazing. And she uses it every morning for breakfast and when her kids were still eating babyfood. http://www.mybestcookwarereviews.com/

Been using it for some time. The blender is great but the plastic bowl absorbs flavors that get transferred from one blend job to the other. It renders it useless if going from a strong flavor to a bland one as the strong dominates.

I received my blender only 2 days after ordering online - great start. This blender is absolutely blenderific! No fruit or vege is too tough. I am into week one now and have used the blender for green smoothies (and yes they really are smooooothhh), ice cream and soup. This will definitely be the blender that I recommend to my friends and family. Thanks BioChef and Vitality4life!!
