Designed in conjunction with TV naturalist Simon King, this nester replicates the way in which Robins like to nest, with a large entrance which is set to the side of the main chamber. This nester also reflects the fact that Robins can’t use nest boxes with a small hole in them and positioned at the top, as the species is essentially a ground feeder and therefore is not adapted to cling on to thin materials and squeeze into a hole (in the way, for example, a Blue tit would be). The Brushwood Robin nester, which may also be used by Pied wagtails, is lightweight and is supplied with a hanging wire.
