“i haven’t tasted them personally but the garden birds seem to love them. I soon learned to put them in a cage-style feeder to stop the starlings devouring the lot within the first half hour. I still put three balls per day in the un-caged feeder for the starlings, i don’t want them to starve i just want the other birds to get a look-in! Occasionally we get a woodpecker on the fat balls but usually he gets there to late after the starlings have cleared the place out, and unfortunately he can’t get into the cage-style feeders.”
“The birds in my garden love these fat balls and, even in summer, empty the feeder very quickly. I like the fact that they are firm and easy to handle.
However, in this last parcel, the blue plastic bag was caught in the sticky tape and ripped when I opened it, spilling the fat balls everywhere. I wish you could please find more eco-friendly packaging - too much plastic.”
