There are so many ways of feeding these suet treats - from a mesh peanut feeder (with or without peanuts), mixed with seed or simply on their own from a bird table or the ground. They are a favourite of Blackbirds, Robins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.

“These are not unpleasant to handle, and have little smell. All our garden birds like them a lot, and take them in preference to sunflower seeds. One of our local blackbirds now flys up and solicits extra pellets when we appear in the garden; she is apparently collecting food for nestlings.”
