Suet Pellets - Insect Reviews

There are so many ways of feeding these suet treats - from a mesh peanut feeder (with or without peanuts), mixed with seed or simply on their own from a bird table or the ground. They are a favourite of Blackbirds, Robins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.

The birds like them which is the key thing. The new packaging is as eco as possible and fine as long as you open it the right way up! I have no complaints except if it were possible to cut the pellets a little shorter so they could go in a solid holder since, as you know, they turn to porridge when wet! My only complaint! Thanks for everything

Suet pellets are loved by lots of birds but the packing could be better. When they were delivered, the bag had split and suet was spilling everywhere. I have since had a delivery of peanuts and this bag was very strong but the lacing at the top had rubbed away and again the contents were spilling out. This has not happened before so I wondered if something has changed.

I cannot judge what the birds like most. I put the pellets out first thing in the morning with six other types of food and it all goes. There are however squirrels around as well. So I do not know what is eating what. I am easing off with the suet pellets and peanuts at the moment as the squirrels do not seem so attracted by the smaller stuff such as millet seeds.

I purchased these to try as suet balls fall through when they get to smaller size which is quickly if starlings get there first. Suet pellets are a better option for me birds still love them and gives smaller birds a chance to feed. Free and fast delivery love using Vine House Farm sign up for newsletter it’s always full of interesting stuff.
