What are Suet Logs?
As their name suggests, this product is in the shape of a log – though other than that the ingredients are much the same as our suet products, and therefore provide a highly nutritious bird food for garden birds.

How do I feed Suet Logs to birds?
There are two types of hanging feeder we sell for suet logs: The first is the Suet Log Feeder which the logs are pushed into, and the second is the Suet Log Feeder Basket which the logs are placed inside. Suet Logs can also be placed on a bird table, with this allowing for ground feeding birds such as Blackbird to also feed on them.
What birds can I attract to my garden with Suet Logs?
Blue tit, Great tit, Coal tit and Long Tailed tit are the main species, though if you use the special Suet Log Feeder then also Robins as they’ll be able to stand on one of the logs to feed.

Birds seem to like them. Depends on recipe. Seeds not popular but they queue up for insects!

The word is clearly getting around that I provide the local bird polulation with irresistable Vine House Suet Logs, because, since I have been putting them out, my nighbourhood bird lovers are complaining that the resident birds are no longer visiting their gardens in favour of mine.

A very popular food with many different bird species. I do use a small wedge to stop them being pushed out of the feeder so easily as then the bigger birds just eat them on the ground.
