“The birds love them, woodpecker, all the variety of tits and especially the starlings who are now regular visitors to my garden as a result.
There is a problem with the string holding the coconuts as other reviewers have also mentioned - it breaks ending up with them on the ground or carried off by the fox. I have solved this by adding florist's wire. My main criticism is the amount of plastic covering each coconut - now 2 layers. I appreciate the need to keep them from damage in transit but perhaps straw would be possible instead of the un-recyclable plastic?”
“The squirrels had worked out how to chew through the rope hanging loop but I now smear the loop with chilli powder before hanging it up and they now leave it alone. The blue tits and long-tailed tits are the most frequent visitors to the coconut halves.”
