Sultanas for Birds Reviews

4.8 Rating 80 Reviews
Read Vine House Farm Reviews

Succulent sultanas are a real favourite of ground feeding garden birds such as Blackbirds, Song Thrushes and Starlings. Sultanas are especially valuable in late winter and spring when natural fruits are difficult to find.

In the breeding season Sultanas are best soaked in water so adult birds can feed them to their young. Sultanas and raisins are suitable for bird tables and ground feeders

Please note that sultanas can be harmful to dogs if eaten.

All I can say is that the birds certainly love them! - especially blackbirds and starlings. Also I suspect the neighbourhood pheasant has sneaked a few!

The black birds and starlings just love the sultanas even more if they are soaked in a little water over night.

The sultanas are very popular with blackbirds in particular. There is usually a queue at the breakfast table. The fruit are alway fresh and moist and good quality. Packaging is always good and the boxes have recently improved. Highly recommended

Sultanas are a favourite with blackbirds. Even though these ones are soft and edible from the pack, I always soften them more in a little water for a short while to make them more palatable.
