Sunflower Hearts Reviews

Sunflower Hearts are a nutritious seed and can be found in a number of our mixes. Being a great energy and protein source, Sunflower Hearts are ideal for all seasons and stages of life.
With the husk removed, birds can enjoy the whole seed without wasting energy on cracking them open to feed, which is especially important during the energy-conservative winter months.
Although Sunflower Hearts are more expensive to buy than Sunflower Seeds, you are not wasting money on husks that will not be eaten.
If you are concerned about larger birds and squirrels eating large quantities of sunflower hearts then ensure you choose the right bird feeder. We have Squirrel-resistant feeders and baffles in stock along with a full range of bird feeders and stations.

Loved by many birds vising my bird feeder - blue tits, great tits, green finches, goldfinches and sparrows. Also loved by blackbirds. A great success.

The premium sunflower hearts are normally top quality but there was a slight problem with this bag when I opened it probably due to a production line fault. The problem was immediately sorted by Vinehouse Farm hence the 5 stars.

Good product, which I have used successfully for several years. Popular with all the visiting birds, although robins, blackbirds and the like seem to prefer taking scraps from the ground rather than using an elevated open tray. Doesn't clog the feeder, and there's certainly much less waste than having them with the outer shell still on - although the small birds like greenfinch and goldfinch still seem to find some husk to reject.

I always buy sunflower seeds from Vine House Farm. They are loved by the birds in my garden and the feeders are very quickly emptied.
