Sunflower Hearts Reviews

Sunflower Hearts are a nutritious seed and can be found in a number of our mixes. Being a great energy and protein source, Sunflower Hearts are ideal for all seasons and stages of life.
With the husk removed, birds can enjoy the whole seed without wasting energy on cracking them open to feed, which is especially important during the energy-conservative winter months.
Although Sunflower Hearts are more expensive to buy than Sunflower Seeds, you are not wasting money on husks that will not be eaten.
If you are concerned about larger birds and squirrels eating large quantities of sunflower hearts then ensure you choose the right bird feeder. We have Squirrel-resistant feeders and baffles in stock along with a full range of bird feeders and stations.

The birds love these - goldfinches, the occasional greenfinch, tits, robins and even the song thrush when ground is really hard. and the presence of so many birds that eat sunflower hearts brings more birds to the garden like blackbirds, dunnocks and (rarely) starlings. Also the woobpecker needs to learn from the parakeets who feed elegantly from our squirrel-proof feeder, also bought from you.

The Sunflower Hearts arrived in perfect condition and I was excited to put them in my birdfeeder, but the birds have hardly touched them, and I'm wondering why. Disappointing.

Hello Thankyou for your feedback. If this is the first time you have put a feeder up, it can take a while for the birds to get accustom to it. Once they get use to the feeder and seed it should not be an issue. Give them time ,they will come. Kindest Regards Vine House Farm

I have been purchasing these seeds for some time and they are always excellent quality, attracting many garden birds to the feeder, including a Nuthatch, Greenfinches, a Bullfinch, Goldfinches and a Lesser Red Pole!
