“I always use these sunflower hearts for my feeder. At this time of year my visitors are a 30-strong flock of house sparrows & about 20, mainly juvenile, goldfinches. My main concern is the rate of consumption!”
“I find I'm having to buy more and more bags of sunflower hearts as they're so popular with our sparrows, goldfinches and pigeons. The pigeons aren't supposed to get to them but they land on the tray which prevents the seeds from dropping to the ground and I don't have the heart to chase them off. I once tried another supplier but the birds could tell the difference in quality!”
