“Unfortunately, this didn't live up to expectations. At £17, it wasn't cheap and it clearly cracks easily as it already had a crack in it on arrival. Another crack appeared after the birds knocked it onto the soil below. It was very difficult to remove the lid, and the bottom of the feeder falls out if not secured carefully, tipping the seed on the ground. In spite of being designed for small birds, the Starlings and Wood Pigeons had no trouble attacking the feeder and emptying it within minutes.
Fortunately, I received a refund from the lovely people at Vine House Farm, but it's definitely back to the drawing board for the manufacturers at Peckish.”
“Very impressed with the service I received, prompt delivery and quality of the product. I haven't asked the birds directly but I'm sure they're well impressed with their new feeder - as I am !”
“Brilliant feeder. We were having a massive problem with hundreds of starlings dive bombing all our smaller visitors and eating all their food. The sparrows and tits love this feeder and we have had up to 6 at a time feeding from it. Highly recommended”
“This is amazing! I have been trying lots of different small bird feeders but only this one doing job as described. Big birds can't get in and eat all. It protects little ones. Very happy with purchase. I bought two of them.”
“It took them about 10 days to get the hang of the new feeder but it now looks ideal for feeding the small birds and excluding the pigeons etc. Definitely a good buy.”
“Birds took a few days to get used to this but small birds are happy to use it now. The lid fits on snuggly but I am concerned the handle used to twist it off, which is also the hanger, may not last long with regular use. I may be wrong though as it is working well currently.”
