This Premium High Energy Mix contains sunflower hearts, peanut granules, white millet, kibbled maize, pinhead oats, canary seed, oil seed rape and red millet. High energy sunflower hearts and chopped peanuts are in this year-round favourite. Contains no wheat. Suitable for seed feeder, bird tables and ground feeders.

“About a year ago I wrote a review in which I complemented Vine House farm for their excellent overnight service. I did however grumble about the make up of the Premium High Energy seed. The mixture contained lots of little round, black seeds (oil seed rape?) which none of my garden birds would eat. Even the wood pigeons would only eat them as a last resort! My latest order of PHE seed arrived next day as usual and I instantly noticed that the black seeds have disappeared. Well done. I now have no waste.”

“This seed is distributed at about 07.30 each morning and regardless of the season the old rook announces its arrival. Immediately a group of birds arrive, varying in size from blue tits to wood pigeons and including - inter alia - other tits, sparrows, black birds, thrush, wag tails, crows and even the odd pheasant. I spread the seed with a trowel and sometimes it goes so quickly I feel obliged to give them another course. It is a great start to the day for the Family.”

“Very popular with my garden birds; even with the goldfinches who adored the sunflower hearts before. Will buy again because nothing is wasted, even though this can end up being an expensive exercise!”
