Nuttery Caged Suet Block and Fat Ball Feeder Reviews

4.4 Rating 80 Reviews

The Nuttery caged suet feeders are designed to allow smaller birds in but exclude large birds such as pigeons, magpies and rooks and squirrels. This caged feeder provides a safe haven for the smaller birds. Easy to fill and clean.

This is definitely the best bird feeder of its type! It is easy to clean, squirrel-proof, and our long tailed tits love it. Job done!

Both items are very sturdy and well suited for the job. They do stop squirrels and are chew proof.

Well made and attractive product but so far the fat balls don't seem to be going down as quickly as in a traditionally shapped cylinder one. This may be because the birds are going for the seeds I have up instead?? I'll wait and see how this does in the Winter months.

The fat cake is too far away from the sides of the cage so the birds cannot get at it ! The fat cake has stayed the same size as when I first put it out 3 weeks ago. I wanted to protect the fat cake from the squirrels but not from the birds themselves!

Thank you for your feedback, sometimes with a new feeder the bird will take some time to get used to it and they may not be comfortable going inside the cage yet. Have you tried removing other feeders for a few days to encourage the birds to feed only from this feeder as they will always take an easier option but if the easier option is removed they soon become accustomed to a new feeder.

Sturdy, deters squirrels, but bigger birds can get to the food, I don't mind too much as it attracts Great Spotted Woodpeckers.
