Nuttery Caged Suet Block and Fat Ball Feeder Reviews

4.4 Rating 81 Reviews
Read Vine House Farm Reviews

The Nuttery caged suet feeders are designed to allow smaller birds in but exclude large birds such as pigeons, magpies and rooks and squirrels. This caged feeder provides a safe haven for the smaller birds. Easy to fill and clean.

Blue tits will use it if there are no other sources of food about, but nothing else so far. Certainly keeps the squirrel out.

I recv'd. the above per order no. 1261706 via prompt & efficient delivery - thank you - and the birds are beginning to get used to it. It's a well made feeder but in my opinion, has a design fault, in that the inner suet ball cage is not secured in any way to the outer cage, allowing it to slide around as the wind / birds move the feeder and ends up resting against the inside of the outer cage, where the bigger birds - magpies etc. - can easily reach the suet balls. I've secured the inner cage centrally to the base of the outer cage with a couple of lengths of galvanised garden wire, which seems to have done the trick. Regards Richard Brittlebank

Product is excellent, however the delivery company totally ignored where we had asked to put the product if no-one was home and just left it in full view of the road on the front step.

Starlings not keen so keeps them from hogging all the fat balls which is what I hoped for. Sparrows have worked it out but blue tits are still a bit warey of it. No doubt it will be more appealing when the fat balls defrost a bit!! Would recommend.

A well-made feeder which the birds came to immediately. it's good for the small birds although the starlings manage to get some, they didn't succeed in monopolising it. I'm pleased with it.

It does keep the Magpies out, but the smaller birds are not taking to it - I dont think they feel safe getting inside it just yet... will give it some time......
