The Nuttery caged suet feeders are designed to allow smaller birds in but exclude large birds such as pigeons, magpies and rooks and squirrels. This caged feeder provides a safe haven for the smaller birds. Easy to fill and clean.
“Well this sturdy cage feeder attracts long tailed tits, blue tits and great tits. However the squirrels are well and truly baffled, and so have given up trying to get to the suet inside. It is working well.”
“So far so good. I have only used it for a week but have seen a couple of squirrels try and fail to get into it! It seems strong and sturdy and is doing the job.”
“Very pleased with this. Unfortunately a squirral had decided to visit my garden, and with my other feeders it was enjoying all the food I had put out for the birds as it was easy to get to but not now!.....it looks at my feeder now and passes by, doesn't even bother stopping in my garden. And the birds seem happy enough using it. Thank you.”
Hello, thank you for your review. I am glad you are happy with the Nuttery Caged Suet Block and Fat Ball Feeder.
It is a well-made robust feeder, does it job deterring squirrels.
“Bought this to replace an old one that had a rusted top. It lasted for quite a few years and it did
its job keeping out the squirrels who seem to love fat slabs. Well worth buying.”
“I bought this Caged Suet Block Feeder, because my original feeder was being attacked by birds varying in size from Jackdaws downward and they were hanging on the outside of the cage and sticking their heads thropugh the sides to extract the food. They were consuming two suet blocks a day. I needed a better feeder and bought this one, unfortunately the larger birds still managed to get food fron the feeder. I have now solved the prodlem by putting the feeder inside a ground feeder. The problem would not have happened if the feeder had a wider diameter, so that although the large birds would still attack theynwould not be able to reach the blocks.”
