Made from light green powder coated steel, this bell shaped cage helps to keep squirrels and larger birds out, allowing smaller birds in to feed on peanuts.

“Been up about 10 days. Took the birds a day or two to get used to it, but as well as the usual blue tits and great tits, it is now being visited by long-tailed tits. And the squirrel can’t get at the nuts! (He has tried!)”
“I have mixed feelings about it! Yes the small birds - Sparrows, Tits etc love it and enjoy feeding inside the cage.
However, our Squirrels can actually get inside it too!! I have photos and videos to prove it! Once they are in there they seem unable to get out so I have to go outside, take off the feeder with the squirrel in it and place it on the ground before they squeeze out. They have leapt out from a height occasionally too but I still have to go right up to them first.
So the product doesn’t do what it says on the box. And I fear that I may find a dead squirrel on there one day!”
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this is the first time that was have seen this happen so we will be letting our Manufacturer now about this happening, this may be a Juvenile Squirrel as the large ones would not be able to fit through the gaps in the feeder mesh.
“We had been inundated with squirrels for many years, which were eating the peanuts in the standard feeder which we used, at the rate of the contents of a feeder every few days. Since we have had the Nuttery Caged Feeder, which the squirrels can't get into, the peanuts have been eaten by the birds only (e.g. nuthatch and woodpecker as well as tits etc.) and the full feeder has lasted well over a week before it needs replenishing. This was definitely a useful buy!”
