“So far the squirrels haven't got at the seeds inside, they have been trying to lift off the lid but the fitting to hang the feeder from has prevented this.”
“Rather disappointed in this feeder. Nice looking and good size for frequent refills & cleaning, but the two screws on bottom which undo the assembly for cleaning are driven in so tight that I cannot shift them, even with WD40! Not all of us have power tools or super strong hands. If I can't find someone to unscrew this it is useless. Regular cleaning of feeders is essential!”
“A really robust and well designed feeder for small birds. Much as I love the Starlings, they were raking through, tossing out and wasting most of the seed in my regular hanging feeders. Being able to completely dismantle it for cleaning is an extremely important aspect. I was so impressed with this feeder I bought a second one and intend to buy 2 more for the winter months.
The ingenious design of the filler lid and hanging handles has also foiled my clever Corvids who had worked out how to flip open the lids on my previous hanging feeders and, by rocking and swinging on them, were able to empty the contents onto the ground.
This was highly amusing of course but caused me a great deal of work, cleaning up daily to deter a rodent infestation. I highly recommend this excellent feeder.”
