A very easy squirrel proof feeder which is easy to fill and take apart for cleaning. The lid screws down so clever as squirrels are, they shouldn't be able to get into it.
“Arrived as per delivery date and so far has baffled the squirrels! The blue tits took about 3 days to get used to it robins a little longer, I'm pleased with it.”
“Seems to have kept the squirrels out of the seed.
Birds taking a time - 1 week - to find their way into a new feeder. Blue tits first.
Pleased with the sturdy metal frame etc but have to be careful to screw the top on fully after refilling otherwise it just falls off after a little while.”
“The feeder itself is well made and appears to be squirrel proof so far, which is the reason I bought it. It's been hanging up for a while, since I bought it, but the birds still shy away from it. I use it for well-chopped peanuts rather than seed (already have two seed feeders) but the nuts don't drop down easily into the bowl - they clog up and I have to shake the feeder vigorously to fill up the dish. So looks like I'll have to find another option.”
“Delighted with my purchase, as usual arrived when it said it would etc
It’s filled with rape seed which I’m assured the finches love, however it is sited close to the sunflower seed feeders which are in use from dawn till dusk and the lantern is well and truly ignored!
Am working on the problem”
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback, I apologise that the feeder has not been better suited.
We will pass on our comments on to the manufacturer so that they can look at improving the design of this feeder.
“I'm very pleased with the seed feeder. The squirrel is less impressed, but more importantly the starlings are absolutely frustrated, which is what I hoped for. They had been taking mealworms by the bucketful. Now they have had to switch to the suet blocks.”
