Live Mealworms Reviews

4.5 Rating 134 Reviews
Read Vine House Farm Reviews

There's no doubt that more bird lovers would feed live mealworms to their garden birds if only they could get over the sight of all those wriggling little creatures. The rewards of feeding live mealworms far outweigh any misgivings you may have about their wiggle, and the benefits to birds - in particular during the nesting and fledgling season - can be spectacular and can make the difference between survival or otherwise.

Don't be put off by the name! They are not slimy and they don't bite! They are vegetarian bettle larvae. Surprisingly easy to handle. I've just ordered a second batch. I use a ground cage so that the robins get a chance. The birds absolutely love them. I'm hoping to see fledglings coming for them in a few weeks time.

We’ve had our worms from vine house farm for years now and they’re always good quality.

Although the meal worms arrived well packed I had trouble persuading th birds to eat them. In the end they did!

After waiting & finally having to pick them up from our sorting office, the mealworm didn't seem too worse for wear. I googled how to store them & have been able to use them for my Robin for over two weeks. Happy.

Fast delivery, well packaged and healthy wriggly mealworms. Our local starlings love them but are messy eaters so I'm picking them off the ground and back in the feeder !

Guess this is what the birds would write! They polished off any quantity I put out, so 5 stars from them. Rationed them by putting it out on cold nights so that the earliest risers will get most of the worms.
