The trigger weight of the Peanut Squirrel Buster can be adjusted to suit your individual garden requirements. Tremendous !!! We have 4 BIRD feeders which up until acquiring our squirrel busters we filled up twice a week. We now fill up once every two weeks having food available for birds all the time. We no longer have the displeasure of squirrels wrecking each bird feeder we put up …. they have gone elsewhere which is a relief as our garden boundary where they are backs onto a 1.5 acre woods full of them.

Seems to work very well. Not been up long enough to see if the squirrels can work out how to get in!

I am so glad I bought this feeder. The jackdaws can't 'pinch' the little birds food. And I like the fact the great s potted woodpecker is using it but he/she seems to move over for the tits.

Much more expensive than a regular peanut feeder but it should pay for itself eventually in food not lost to the squirrels. The actual surface area that the birds can feed from in relation to the size of the feeder is quite small but I guess that's a consequence of the design which so far is working very well as although there are plenty of squirrels around, I have seen none on the feeder. I assume they must have attempted entry when I wasn't looking and have abandoned further attempts. A word of caution. Take note of the the warning label that tells you to support the base when removing the hook in order to refill. I didn't and it dropped to the ground, breaking the plastic central screw. I managed to fix it and so far it's still holding together.
