Not "impossible for pigeons". A feral pigeon got to the seed within a few minutes and then managed to pull the entire feeder off the hook.

My birds just can’t get used to it compared to my normal feeders. Maybe time will tell, I hope so. Build quality excellent.

This is not my first "Favourite Feeder". The first lasted many years and was loved by a large variety of small passerines. I was pleased to see that Vine House Farm had this for sale. Already the Siskins, Goldfinches, Greenfinch and Chaffinch have found the feeder hanging below the apple tree and have provided some great photos.

Delivery was prompt and feeder looks robust.Unfortunately the feeder was very difficult to open despite following the instructions on wrapper. We had to get a neighbour to help us, which he did with great difficulty. A week on and the birds have not yet used the feeder.

Well made, large bird seed feeder. Great for Tits etc as it prevents larger birds getting access to food.

Bought this because of write up said the seed didn't get wet with rain! The first day it rained and the seed became soaked. Weather very wet at present so I have to dry the feeder every day.

Hello Thank you for your feedback. It all depends where the feeder it located. If out in the open any driving rain will get into the feeder. If possible try and put it in a sheltered location this would keep a lot of the rain out. The weather we have been having lately is difficult to keep any feeder dry. Kindest Regards Vine House Farm
