“Really, really good Finch Mix and all my Finches and Tits love it. I have only given it 4 stars as it has black sunflower seeds and therefore the black husks are left on the floor under feeders. I should have bought the Premium Finch Mix as the sunflower seeds have the husk removed and therefore there is no mess below the feeders.a
The birds love any of the food I purchase from Vine House Farm. I like the food as most of it has been grown on the farm and looks so fresh.”
“This mix looks good enough to have with my muesli! And the birds love it too! It has attracted bullfinches, which we haven’t had in the garden before.”
“I always shop with Vine Farms since I discovered them - reasonable prices, ethically sourced, no delivery to pay and arrives quickly. Great. While this Finch Mix hasn't attracted many finches, the tree sparrows, blue tits, coal tits and house sparrows absolutely love it. Thank you.”
“My finches are not impressed with this mix. Although they seemed to be using the feeder on the first day, they have since ignored it in favour of the sunflower hearts that I have always given them. I’m not sure what to do with it all now!”
Thank you for your comments.
We would suggest that you give the Finch Mix a bit longer to become of more interest to your birds At this time of year, however, there is plenty of surplus food, which allows the birds to become more picky.
Sunflower Hearts are universally popular, so there may not be a need to introduce a further mix if your birds are happily eating the Hearts. You could try mixing a greater proportion of Hearts into your Finch Mix, which should encourage more birds to the Finch Mix feeder
