“These suet balls are great and the birds love them; the price is good too! The only issue is that they are quite crumbly and if mishandled in transit you can easily end up with fewer balls than you expected and a 2-inch layer of suet crumbs in the bottom of the box! This isn’t really a Vine House Farm issue, but maybe the box could be better labelled for the shippers as “very fragile”.”
“They are going down well with the birds, but I was disappointed they were unwrapped and just loose in the box, which meant quite a high proportion were broken, so it's rather messy dealing with them.”
“The fat ball have gone down well with our birds - again all birds seem to come to the feeders housing the fat ball. My only grouse would be that transportation from you via the carrier resulted in a lot of damage to the fat ball both chunks and small particles of the balls. BUT to get a large amount of fat ball in one go suits us very well!”
“The bird activity in our garden is sheer madness and we have to top up the fat balls three times a day. They have encouraged various birds to nest nearby and we currently have about 20 sparrows, plus dunnocks, starlings and robins. Jackdaws and Jays sometimes try their luck but are easily dissuaded. Blackbirds and wood pigeons mop up what falls to the ground.”
