Ground Guard Reviews

4.1 Rating 32 Reviews
Read Vine House Farm Reviews

The top of the Ground Guard opens easily for refilling. Available in two mesh sizes, the large mesh excludes all large birds, such as Wood Pigeons and Collared Doves. The small mesh will help keep out most squirrels and starlings. Both mesh sizes fit our ground trays and hoppers. 56cm wide x 37cm tall

Have screwed this to a fence with a Bird Buddy inside to keep away the corvids. Works brilliantly!

It's very sturdy, which is why it isn't a cheap thing, and it doesn't really need to be pegged down as it's quite heavy. It deters pigeons, but unfortunately starlings can get in. It was intended to protect food for the robins in the garden. Usually, the starlings do leave some food for them, but it was a slight disappointment that they could get through the mesh. But it is the best thing I've tried or seen so far for deterring them, and Vine House always deliver very promptly.

I have not yet received the ground guard, so am unable to review it. I have given it one star simply because I had to pick a star, not to reflect on its quality since I haven't seen it yet.

Super, been meaning to get one for ages, so when the jackdaws and magpie started to be vandal's I decided it was time. Very pleased with it.

I'm very happy with this ground guard as it has dissuaded the local feral pigeons from invading my garden. It's used by blackbirds, starlings, robins and sparrows. I highly recommend it.

Once assembled it was quite sturdy. But the trap door with hinge was pretty useless to be honest. I found it very difficult to attach and then it detached easily when moved and seemed to fall off whenever I tried to open it. As I haven't got it pegged down I can just lift the whole cage to add feed. But it would be inco, and if you did have it pegged down.
