“Unfortunately none of our usual visiting birds will eat the black sunflower seeds - but the squirrels absoluteley love them. We have had to buy our usual sunflower hearts to bring the birds back into the garden.”

Although sunflower seeds are a popular choice with birds, black sunflower seeds are not suitable for species such as Robin, Blackbird, Song Thrush and Blue Tits since they can't remove the husk.. For these species it’s best to provide sunflower hearts, which are the same product but with the husk removed.
