“I bought the 3M 5200 Marine sealant to rebed a set of POM bearings into the aluminium casting for our windvane self steering gear. The previous sealant/adhesive that I used did not have the combination of adhesion and flexibility to resist the constant movement that's involved when steering a yacht in big seas. As yet we have not tested the self steering but the bearings appear to be securely bedded in.”
