For the sake of others considering this cap, we think your thoughts about the peak may be a little harsh - it's a winter cap and the peak is inevitably designed more for channeling rain away from your face than for bright sunshine. The emphasis is on warmth through the merino layer under a helmet, so I'm glad you were happy on that front.
