“When I first ordered these shades from universal I was under the impression you were selling items you had in stock not items that had to come from the other side of the world which would take a long time to get here however we waited for these to be delivered only to find that the larger one you said you had in stock turned out to be partly crushed on arrival. Don’t know if this was crushed prior to shipping or your blaming the carrier however the four 30cm ones were packed inside the larger one that was crushed and they were not damaged. Very disappointing.”

Hello Mr Pulham, I can assure you that we do not send out damaged or sub-standard products. Everything we ship out is quality controlled prior to being carefully packed and dispatched. It happens sometimes, that despite our best efforts fittings are damaged in transit. On these rare occasions, we will replace the damaged fitting as soon as possible. “I was delighted to receive my new lamp shade. The members of staff within the company were all 100% helpful in advise and courtesy. However, my only slight criticism, and it could be my lamp base, is that the inner ring which sits on the lamp base and below the light fitting is slightly wider and therefore. if my shade is knocked or moved slightly, it hangs or falls to an angle.”
