Few designers have anything as beautiful and varied as this and with Trasparenzes amazing heritage and reputation, they are some of the most well made and luxurious items out there too. “These are lovely tights, and don't feel like they are 70 denier. The small size is perfect for me, I'm 5'2" size 10, and a lot of small size tights are still too big, but these are great. There's a great range of colours too.”

“Perfect tights to cover up some unfortunate bruises on my legs from a tangle with a gate we were putting up, it fell over onto me! Needed very, very pale tights to match a dress for a special do and these did the job perfectly. Not one bruise showed through so I could relax and enjoy the evening. Nice fit too.”

“I am 5'10", size 18 and struggle getting comfy tights and am bored of plain black. 'Oooh goody' I thought on finding this website. Bank balance and logic prevailed. I bought one pair to see if they were ok before ordering one in each colour. They arrived promptly at work, in time for an evening out with my boyfriend. Things looked promising: Good length, colour match, finish (not tacky sheeny) but then I put them on...... Oh dear. The first and most uncomfortable aspect to note was the horrendous nappy panel at the back. Perhaps intended for some extra bum support? Had the overall feel of a massive, poorly placed incontinence pad and created some alarming and distressing lumps and bumps. I soldiered on, they fitted well to just above the knee. Mid thigh upwards was a battleground however. They just about stayed up whilst standing although any movement caused an immediate roll down of the waist band. Walking - well, forget it! I managed about fifteen paces before the gusset-panel and all- was about half way down my thighs and at real risk of showing below my hemline. After several distinctly unsexy haul-em- up dance manoeuvres (which it has to be said, we both found hilarious) on the way to the restaurant, i had to get them off. A blessed relief although i found that pulling them up had caused them to ladder from the oversewn nappy panel meaning I cant send them back. Total waste of time and money. Not sure what to do with these now. Perhaps put them over my head and raid m&s for tights that actually fit. (though theirs only cost £2.50)”

Dear Kate, I'm very sorry to hear of the issue with your tights. As it says on the website, the Maxi size features a back panel (as many brands do in their larger sizes). This is because of the way tights are manufactured and the panel provides extra space in the body of the tight for us curvier ladies. Trasparenze's sizing does usually come up small and so if one is on the border of 2 sizes, we always advise going up to the next size for comfort and fit.
