“I have been wearing Charnos opaque 60 denier hold ups for many years now during the colder months. They fit extremely well and stay in position all day. They wash well and hold their shape. The colour doesn't fade and is always consistent. They feel good and are comfortable to wear. Many years ago I was able to buy them in grey and brown as well as the black and navy that are available today. I wish that all four colours were still available as you can't beat Charnos for quality!”

Dear Arlette Thank you for your review. It's lovely to hear such loyalty towards a specific brand. I will pass your comments onto Charnos regarding the colours, but I believe the grey and brown were discontinued due to the colours being seasonal fashion, and often only en trend for a few months at a time. Dear Lukshmi, I'm sorry to hear that you have found the Charnos hold ups to be bigger than expected. This is unusual, as this brand is known to be on the small side, as it is manufactured in Italy. I have checked the size guide on the back of the packet and compared this to the guide on our website. You're quite right, the 2 are different: it seems that because this is one of Charnos' newly packaged items, they have updated the guide and the new 1 shows weight as well as height. We will update this now. However, comparing this packet guide to size guides of the other items in your order, the Charnos should have fitted correctly. “These stockings are well made and lovely soft fabric. However they are not wide enough at the top, so they roll down. I have not experienced this with other makes in the same size, so sadly I will not buy them again”
