“I bought this to replace one I already had and had found to be a perfect winter coat - very warm and high level of waterproofing. Really disappointed that the same coat just a few years later has been shortened in length however - the longer length was ideal for maximum coverage and weather protection. Hence my 3 stars. Otherwise its a great coat.”

“This jacket is lovely and warm and not too heavy to wear is waterproof and windproof But the fur trim is not needed when wet is not nice to wear with wet fur sticking to your face. The fur trim does zip off but then the hood is not deep enough and the wind blows round your neck. It would be better to have a deeper hood and no fur trim”

“Been looking for this type of coat for a while and finally settled on this one. Glad i did. It is really snug and warm without being so bulky you cannot move. Hood fits well not big like some coats. Nice pockets. Easy to zip up from top or bottom. I am very happy with my purchase.”

“I wore my Basil DLX parka all through the winter and was always warm and dry. In fact, I rarely wore any other coat or jacket. Great pockets and lovely fit. I’m a size 12 and medium was a perfect fit; looks stylish. It was frequently admired.”

“Delighted with this coat, I was losing the will after having returned two different coats, one too small, the other too big but this one is perfect. I ordered a size 14 as I usually do with jackets and it is true to size accommodating a fleece base layer comfortably. It feels built for all weathers and although I haven’t yet been out in very wet weather, it has proved to be very warm and wind proof. Plenty of pockets for all that I need for dog walking and it appears to be well made and nicely finished. Delivery was very prompt.”

“I originally bought the yellow version but wasn’t sure of the colour on me so returned and replaced with a green version. Very pleased I did this as this colour is perfect. This is a gorgeous, beautifully made, stylish and cosy coat. Fantastic value. So pleased it bought it and brilliant service from this company w refunds and delivery.”
