Really like these shelves. They will likely last a lifetime and therefore better for the environment and better value than the cheap ones you get from e.g. Ikea that are likely to chip and break over time. Grip it fixings are re-usable so no need to buy new fixings when taking the shelves with you when you move home, or when changing their position in your home. And they're easy to put up to boot Plan to buy more in future.

Quality of shelf is fantastic however fixing and fitting let’s it down. The shelf does not attach underneath which means it doesn’t fit tight to bracket. Also attachments are poor quality. Better of using standard fittings over ones provided. Most people will not have the correct drill attachment to fit the ones provided. Good raw plugs and screws would suffice for the fixing of this item. Also unfortunately after following instructions precisely the shelf does not sit perfectly straight on the wall. As there are not attachments underneath, it means the shelf is tilted. After checking using a spirit level, the deviance was quite significant. It took a lot of extra effort to sort the issue. As a tradesman, I found the process very frustrating and quality was disappointing. Furthermore, the shelf arrived with a very noticeable mark. In fairness to the company the did offer a replacement immediately and communication was very good. In general, the shelf looks fantastic but it took a lot of effort to achieve the finished look so please bare that in mind.

Hello Alex, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We try to supply the shelves completely floating without any visible fixings. The brackets usually work really well as we drill the holes 1mm bigger than the rod which usually creates a tight fit. The brackets/rods are designed to be adjustable so that it can be levelled... to do this, once the rod is in position in the wall you can use a spanner to turn the rod clockwise which will in turn open up the backplate of the fixing and push the bracket in an upwards direction... this will then make the shelf level. If you need more advise on this please don't hesitate to get in touch and I can explain this further and also send photos of how these brackets are adjustable in this way. Thanks, Rebecca

Shelves seem fine but poor quality gripits mean they're now stuck in my plasterboard and can't be removed.

Hello Tom, I am sorry to hear you had had problems with fitting. We don't manufacture the gripit fixings ourselves however after testing a range of fixings we do believe these are by far the best on the market today for plasterboard walls. Once in the wall and the bolt has been screwed in it does create a tight fit so it can be difficult to remove without damaging the fixing.
