“Initially I was very pleased with my purchase. However, after only a few weeks of being installed the shelf is now leaning (no items have been placed on it as yet) and the medium oak wood stain has become light and patchy in parts. Given how much I paid for it, I'm afraid that I do feel a little disappointed.”

Hi Ruth, thanks for leaving us your feedback. We are sorry to hear your shelf is leaning, we have supplied thousands of these shelves and 99% of customers manage to install them successfully. For the 1% who have problems, it is usually an installation issue or the plasterboard you are fixing too. Have you tightened the shelf support with an adjustable spanner? When you tighten the shelf support it should level it. Have you tried removing the shelf from the fixings and flipping it around? Can I just check the thickness of your plasterboard, is it more than 15mm thick? Is there something solid behind the plasterboard stopping the Plasterboard fixing from getting all the way through and the gripits from opening up? With regards to the wood stain this could just be the natural grain of the wood, if you would like to email our customer service team at info@traditionalbeams.com with some photos we will happily advise and rectify any issues you are facing.
