They briquettes are smaller and more irregular than I was expecting. However, I have iced a few recently and they burn very well. The test of whether I will purchase them again, will largely depend on how they react to being stored in a builder’s bag ( sitting on a pallet) in a garden shed over the winter months

Hello, thanks you for your review, the sizes can vary as specified/shown on the website. We are glad you are pleased with them and how well they burn. They should be fine stored on a pallet as it is off the floor, as long as they do not get damp they will remain the same :) We look forward to your next order!

This is the second time I've purchased these oak briquettes, because they are excellent. They create a high heat and are easy to light.

They are absolutly ideal for getting a fire started and can be used as fuel but are best accompanied with logs or larger compressed wood briquettes. Their one major down-side is their sensitivity to moisture - even the slightest amount of moisture will cause them to swell and crumble like a cerial biscuit in milk so they must be stored in a perfectly dry location. When purchasing do check on availability and likely delivery date first and plan a suitable - dry delivery day when you will have enough time to move and put into storage, and allow a few days contingency if the delivery slips. Sadly ours were delivered late so we had to cover those we could not move on the delivery day. Dispite being well covered a little of the heavy rain we had managed to get into the bag and caused a few to crumble to dust.

Hi Charles, thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear your delivery was late and a few of them crumbled due to the heavy rain. We do wrap them as well as we can and do advise the importance of keeping them dry and off the ground. Overall we care glad you are pleased with how well they burn and we look forward to your next order :)
